Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Law Society of Hong Kong is inviting applications for enthusiastic, highly motivated and suitably qualified individuals to join the Society in a senior legal capacity.The role spans different departments and covers a wide range of matters relating to legal policy, professional practice, law reform, and the development of rules and standards for the solicitors’ profession. It also includes committee support, liaison with members of the profession, external stakeholders and public authorities, and assistance with the implementation and administration of professional programmes and schemes.Successful candidates will be assigned to suitable departments, having regard to their experience, expertise and the operational needs of the Society.The person we are looking for must be able to demonstrate:practical legal experience (not less than 7 years’ post-qualification experience as a guide, with preference being given to applicants admitted to practise in Hong Kong)solid experience in policy development, legal research and project implementationa proactive approach and the ability to work independently, exercise initiative and manage competing priorities effectivelystrong drafting skills, with the ability to prepare clear, precise and well-structured papers, correspondence and other written materialsstrong communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent command of written and spoken English and ChineseApplicants with experience in legal education/ training, professional regulation and legislative drafting will be an advantage.Interested parties please click "APPLY" or send your full curriculum vitae stating the reference number, current and expected salary to the Administration and Human Resources Department, The Law Society of Hong Kong via email to recruit@hklawsoc.org.hk.
