At Sea Bright, we foster a culture of integrity, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Job Description:SEA BRIGHT SHIP MANAGEMENT L.L.C is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant DPA (Designated Person Ashore Assistant) to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our Safety Management System. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with maritime safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture across the fleet.Key Responsibilities:Support the DPA in ensuring compliance with the ISM Code and all applicable maritime safety regulations.Assist in monitoring fleet safety performance and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.Coordinate with vessel crews to ensure effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS).Participate in internal audits, incident investigations, and emergency drills, and prepare related reports.Maintain and update safety manuals, procedures, records, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.Follow up on non-conformities, observations, and continuous improvement recommendations.Assist in communication between vessels and shore management regarding safety and operational matters.Support the development and delivery of safety awareness programs and training initiatives for crew members.Ensure timely reporting and documentation of accidents, near misses, and safety-related incidents.Monitor compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and statutory requirements.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in maritime safety, compliance, or ship management.Good knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and maritime regulatory requirements.Strong organizational, reporting, and documentation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with vessel crews and shore-based personnel.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus). Interested?
