We cultivate an inspiring, student-first culture grounded in excellence, integrity, and cross-functional collaboration.Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, strategically minded Assistant Finance / Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day financial operations and safeguard the long-term financial health of the organization.Based full-time at our Yangon office, you will own the full accounting cycle, drive budgeting and forecasting initiatives, maintain rigorous internal controls, and ensure full statutory and tax compliance. In this role, you will serve as a vital business partner to senior leadership, delivering actionable financial insights and cost-optimization strategies that support our continued growth in the international education sector.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning, Analysis & StrategyLead annual budgeting, periodic re-forecasting, and long-term financial modeling in alignment with company goals.Monitor liquidity and manage daily cash flow to optimize operational working capital.Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actuals), identifying trends, cost drivers, and operational efficiencies.Deliver data-driven financial insights and scenario analyses to senior management to guide strategic business decisions and pricing models.Accounting, Reporting & Daily OperationsOversee end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end closing processes, and bank reconciliations.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with applicable accounting standards.Supervise operational finance functions: student invoicing, accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups, accounts payable (AP), and payroll disbursements.Maintain professional relationships with local banking partners, financial institutions, and corporate vendors.Governance, Compliance & Internal ControlsDesign, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and risk-mitigation policies.Ensure strict adherence to local tax regulations, statutory filing deadlines, and corporate reporting requirements.Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during annual audits and official reviews.Safeguard financial integrity and data confidentiality across all operational channels.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.Professional Credentials: Part- or full-qualification in ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CFA is strongly preferred.Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 1–2 years in a managerial or senior lead capacity. Prior experience within education consulting, tutoring, or professional client-services environments is a distinct advantage.
Technical Skills
