Assistant Finance Manager Job Requirements• Bachelor’s degree such as B.com/B.Act/Accounting, Finance, or related field and ACCA/CPA Part-Qualified or LCCI Level 3 (CPA/ACCA fully qualified preferred, not required) • 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar)• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong financial analysis/reporting skills • Proven team leadership and communication skills with strong problem-solving and managerial reporting abilities.Job Descriptions (JD) & Key Responsibilities of Assistant Finance Manager• Supervise and review daily accounting transactions, Cash Book, Bank, GL, Journal Entries and intercompany transactions. • Monitor cash flow and liquidity and ensure sufficient funds are available for business operations. • Review bank transactions, online banking activities and account reconciliations. • Monitor AR, AP, advances, reimbursements and other outstanding balances. • Review payment requests, invoices, receipts, quotations and supporting documentation. • Supervise fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. • Monitor inventory, purchasing documentation, stock withdrawal and cost control where applicable. • Coordinate and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing. • Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports before submission to Management/Head Office. • Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial information. • Coordinate tax calculations, provisions, returns, payments and regulatory filings. • Coordinate MIC quarterly and annual reporting and ensure timely submission. • Maintain and recommend improvements to accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. • Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, legal advisors and other relevant parties. • Supervise and support Finance team members to ensure smooth and accurate accounting operations. • Provide financial information and reports required by Management. • Support the Finance Manager and Senior Management in ad-hoc financial matters.
