As we continue to expand our operations across manufacturing, retail, distribution, HORECA, and specialty coffee solutions, we are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to lead our Finance function.This role is ideal for a strategic finance professional who can combine strong financial governance with commercial insight to improve profitability, strengthen financial controls, and support business growth. You will play a key role in shaping the financial direction of the company while working closely with senior leadership to achieve long-term business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Finance Department, ensuring efficient day to day financial operations while providing leadership, coaching, and performance management to the finance team.Develop and implement financial strategies, annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans aligned with the company's strategic objectives and long term growth plans.Prepare, review, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and financial performance dashboards.Ensure compliance with Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLFRS/LKAS), statutory regulations, taxation requirements, and corporate governance policies.Manage cash flow, treasury operations, working capital, banking relationships, financing facilities, and liquidity planning to maintain the company's financial stability.Monitor financial performance against budgets, analyse variances, and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and business performance.Conduct financial analysis, business modelling, product costing, profitability analysis, and investment evaluations to support management decision-making.Strengthen financial controls, accounting processes, and internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.Oversee debtor collections, credit control, creditor management, and payment planning while optimizing working capital performance.Monitor operational, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and administrative costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements.Ensure accurate inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, fixed asset management, depreciation accounting, and effective inventory control practices.Coordinate internal and external audits, manage relationships with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities, and ensure timely completion of all audit and statutory requirements.Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Production, and Senior Management to provide commercial insights, support business growth initiatives, and improve overall organizational performance.Lead financial transformation initiatives, process improvements, ERP enhancements, and continuous improvement projects that strengthen operational efficiency and support sustainable business growth.Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance within the Finance function while developing future finance leaders.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Fully qualified CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.Minimum 2–4 years of leadership experience managing a finance department or finance team.Experience within Manufacturing, FMCG, Food & Beverage, Distribution, Retail, or related industries is highly preferred.Proven expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, treasury management, cash flow planning, financial analysis, and internal controls.Strong knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLFRS/LKAS) and statutory financial reporting requirements.Comprehensive understanding of Sri Lankan taxation, labour related statutory payments, and regulatory compliance.Hands on experience with ERP systems, accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence/reporting tools.Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence strategic business decisions.Why Join Soul Coffee?At Soul Coffee, you'll have the opportunity to shape one of Sri Lanka's growing specialty coffee brands, lead impactful marketing initiatives, and work alongside a passionate team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
