Assistant Finance Manager

About the roleWe are supporting a partner in hiring an Assistant Finance Manager to support financial planning and analysis, manufacturing cost control, and business decision-making. The role will work closely with plant operations and cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and reporting efficiency.

Location: District 9, Ho Chi Minh CityWorking Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Transportation: Company shuttle bus available in HCMC, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong.Key Reponsibilites:1.

Financial Planning & AnalysisPrepare monthly financial reports covering manufacturing costs, spending, productivity, and profitability.Analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year performance.Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and financial KPI monitoring.Conduct cost and variance analysis and recommend improvement actions.2. Manufacturing Finance & Cost ControlMonitor direct and indirect materials, labor, overhead, inventory, and logistics costs.Apply cost accounting and standard costing principles to support accurate financial reporting.Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability.3. Business Partnering & Investment AnalysisWork closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.Support operational decisions through financial analysis and business case evaluation.Review CAPEX proposals and monitor post-investment performance.4. Reporting & DigitalizationImprove reporting processes using advanced Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and other reporting tools.Apply digital tools and AI solutions to streamline reporting and support data-driven decisions.5. Team CoordinationGuide and develop finance analysts or team members.Coordinate team priorities and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.Support the Finance Manager in cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.7~10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, or Cost Accounting.Experience in project leadership, team supervision, and business partnering with plant leadership.Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and CAPEX evaluation.Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar).Good English communication skills; familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, or AI tools is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
