Our client is a long established firm with a strong global presence in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. As part of their ongoing vision and strategy for growth and expansion, they continue to help clients navigate the challenges of doing business in the market. They now have an opportunity for a high calibre finance executive to join their Greater China team.Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Manager, you will be required to:Supervise and support the accounting team, including GL, AR and AP; providing direction and advice to upskill their technical and interpersonal skillsManage a full range of day-to-day accounting and finance matters, including the month end closing process, consolidations and financial reporting and analysisPrepare cashflow forecast and assist in day-to-day cash management, perform interoffice balance reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Support the annual budgetary process and monthly forecasting, working closely with the business across the region to ensure accurate and achievable goals and targetsBuild rapport with the business partners, help them understand data, performance, profitability and assist them to make the right business decisionsProvide guidance and support to the China offices, having the foresight identify potential issues, unusual accounting treatments and tax mattersBe the key point of contact for all third party professionals, auditors, tax officials and lawyersSupport on ad hoc projects, providing analysis, pricing for projects and evaluations for any strategic investment opportunitiesSuitable candidates will be:Qualified CPA/ACCA or have an equivalent professional certificate Ideally have trained in a Big 4 or CPA firm and have 3-5 years of experience working in a professional services sectorBe technically strong and capable of leading a team to compile full sets of accounts for the regionHave experience of working with the China market, understanding the financial and regulatory environment including taxation mattersBe able to work at a more strategic level, and have the ability to see both the bigger picture as well as roll sleeves up to get involved in detail when necessaryHave the executive gravitas and confidence to work with the senior management team, business heads and other senior level stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills and communication skills, including fluency in English and Chinese, including MandarinOur client offers a strong corporate culture and a stable working environment with a competitive package for the right candidate.
