ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGERPosition OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, accounting controls, month-end closing, compliance, and supervision of the Finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Finance Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with company requirements and applicable regulations.Assist in preparing and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support operational efficiency and business objectives.Monitor the organization's cash flow, including income, expenditure, collections, payments, and investments.Oversee and monitor end-to-end financial processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, payments, and monthly closing activities.Ensure all accounting transactions and records are accurately recorded, properly supported, and reconciled on a timely basis.Review the accuracy and integrity of accounting entries in the accounting system.Prepare and review monthly financial reports, management reports, balance sheets, invoices, reconciliations, and other financial statements.Perform regular financial analysis and provide insights to management to support business planning and decision-making.Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies, irregularities, or unusual items in invoices, payments, bank deposits, and accounting records.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost control to improve operational efficiency and maximize profitability.Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.Assist in tax planning, tax submissions, audits, and other statutory financial requirements.Liaise and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, relevant authorities, banks, and other internal and external stakeholders.Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to strengthen accounting and financial reporting processes.Monitor economic and financial developments that may affect the organization's financial performance.Supervise, guide, and review the work of Finance team members, including accountants and finance clerks.Plan and delegate work effectively to ensure timely completion of departmental responsibilities.Provide coaching, training, and guidance to Finance team members to ensure performance standards are achieved.Prepare financial analysis, reports, and other information as requested by Management to support business performance and decision-making.Assist the Finance Manager in managing the department's manpower and operating expenses within the approved budget.Ensure proper maintenance and safeguarding of financial records, equipment, and other assets under the Finance Department.Ensure all Finance Department equipment and resources are properly maintained and kept in good working condition.Perform any other duties and assignments as may be directed by Management from time to time.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably with supervisory or management experience.Experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.Experience in handling full set of accounts and month-end closing.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to lead, supervise, and develop a Finance team.High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
