Team members work in a stable, niche manufacturing environment where attention to detail, respect for the craft, and customer focus are highly valued.Role Description The Assistant Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Websterville, VT. This role supports the Financial Controller in managing daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The Assistant Financial Controller assists in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely financial reporting. Responsibilities also include supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, analyzing financial data to identify trends or variances, and contributing to process improvements and internal controls. The role collaborates with operations and management to provide financial insights that support decision-making and the long-term stability of the business.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including experience with general ledger, budgeting, and cost control.Candidates should possess skills in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret key financial documents.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the capability to analyze data, identify variances, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in an accounting or controller’s office.Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel) and strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work on-site in Websterville, VT, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities within deadlines.Knowledge of manufacturing or production environments and familiarity with inventory and cost accounting are beneficial.
