Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob DescriptionRiverton Classical Academy (RCA) is a tuition-free public charter school in the American Classical Schools of Idaho (ACSI) federation of schools. RCA is opening in the fall of 2027 in Heyburn, Idaho as the 5th ACSI school. RCA is seeking a motivated, genuine, and mission-aligned school leader to act as its Assistant Head of School. RCA is receiving start-up support from the Hillsdale College K-12 Education Office. RCA intends to license the Hillsdale College K-12 Curriculum and offer an American classical education. The Assistant Head of School position will assist the Head of School in the final preparation efforts to open the school in August of 2027 with an initial student population of 432 students in grades K-7 (adding a grade level each year until the school population is 702 students in grades K-12). During the preparation year and in the initial years of opening, the Assistant Head of School will be responsible for all operations - front office, transportation, food service, safety, etc. Congruent with a classical education model, the Assistant Head of School will also teach (after the initial start-up year) at least one course each semester.RCA is open to applicants with little or no school-level experience as long as applicants have substantial operational leadership skill.
