We are building a professional, collaborative, and high-performing environment that supports both employee development and the long-term strategic objectives of the organisation.About the jobWe are hiring an Assistant HR Manager as part of an exciting phase of the company’s continued growth. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing an HR strategy that supports a high-performing, inclusive, and values-led culture.The Assistant HR Manager will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will be proactive, pragmatic, digitally confident, and experienced in managing a broad range of HR matters with professionalism, confidence, and care.The role is based in Agrabad, Chattogram, Bangladesh, and is a full-time, office-based position, Monday to Friday, in accordance with UK working hours.Requirements At least 4+ years of experience in a senior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner position in Bangladesh.Strong understanding of Bangladesh Labour Law and proven experience in managing complex employee relations matters.Hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll administration, and HR operations.Experience in coordinating annual performance appraisal cycles, employee development programs, and talent management initiatives.Demonstrated success in driving employee engagement, retention, and people culture initiatives.Organized and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain clarity in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.Proficient in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR reporting and analytics.Motivated by the opportunity to take ownership and strengthen HR practices in a growing and evolving environment.Educational QualificationsMaster’s / MBA / MSc / MSS / MA with First class or equivalent.English level must be advanced, as mostly dealing with UK colleagues.Proficiency in HR software & Microsoft Office tools.Responsibilities IncludeDevelop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and in compliance with government employment laws and regulations.Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and employee counseling to maintain a positive work environment.Foster a positive people culture by engaging in employee engagement, inclusion, well-being, and retention initiatives.Support managers in performance management processes, including KPI setting, performance reviews, probation assessments, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).Coordinate and oversee annual performance appraisal cycles, ensuring timely completion and consistency across departments.Maintain compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant ISO standards.Manage payroll administration, leave management, attendance tracking, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports on recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, employee engagement, and performance indicators to support decision-making.Design, coordinate, and facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee capability, leadership skills, and career growth.Partner with department heads to identify succession planning and talent development opportunities.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.Participate in emergency response planning, wellness programs, and employee assistance initiatives for staff.Lead employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and cultural initiatives that strengthen organizational values and employee satisfaction.Support organizational change management initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.Provide HR guidance and support to managers on workforce planning, employee performance, and people-related matters.Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of all personnel information.BenefitsAnnual Leave Sick leave, Medical allowance, Transport allowance.
