Recognized by the Stowe Historical Society as one of the original ski lodges of the area, Timberholm continues to be a cherished destination year-round.We are seeking a detail-oriented and guest-focused Assistant Innkeeper to create memorablemorning experiences for guests at our 9-room boutique bed and breakfast. This role is ideal forsomeone who enjoys the art of breakfast, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and takespride in creating seamless, personalized experiences for guests from first contact to their next stay.Training will be provided, along with ongoing support during the transition and beyond. If you havea passion for cooking or baking, a keen eye for cleanliness, and a welcoming personality, we wouldlove to have you join our team.Days: 2 mornings per week, Thursday & SundayShift Length: 4 hoursStandard Hours: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM, breakfast served at 8:00 amSki Season Hours: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM, breakfast served at 7:00 amEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesArrive early to prep ingredients and bake/cook high-quality breakfast items for guestsLay out and maintain the buffet breakfast selection throughout the service windowLabel and communicate allergy/special dietary needs foods clearlyBrew coffee and have hot water available for tea/hot chocolateExamples of prepared breakfast items include: scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, baconRestock coffee and tea stations throughout the morningKeep fridge items, snacks, and beverage stations fully replenished for the day aheadCommunicate any low-inventory items or kitchen needs to leadershipGreet guests warmly and exhibit a high standard of hospitality and professionalismInteract with guests during breakfast, answering basic questions about Timberholm and the surrounding areas and making them feel welcomeAddress guest inquiries or dietary needs during service with care and professionalismCoordinate closely with Hannah on any special requests or guest/inn concernsResolve minor guest issues and escalate to the leadership team when necessaryEfficiently handle all breakfast cleanup, including washing dishes, sanitizing cookware, and clearing tablesMop the kitchen floor and thoroughly vacuum the Great Room after service concludesEnsure all remaining food is properly stored, labeled, and put away according to food safety standardsCoordinate regularly with Hannah/broader team on critical guest and inn related itemsSupport a positive, communicative, and team-oriented work environmentRequirementsAuthorized to work in the United StatesAbility to communicate in English, both written and verbalValid state issued driver’s license and current auto insuranceBasic computer skillsComply with all company policies and proceduresExemplify a high-performance culture through words and actionsPresent a positive image as the face of Timberholm Inn in the market, industry, and our communityHospitality-minded with a focus on delivering excellent guest experiencesStrong communicator with a warm, friendly demeanorDependable for early mornings and twice weekly shiftsProblem-solver who can handle guest concerns with professionalismDetail oriented and uses time efficientlyPhysical stamina to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and handle tasks such as mopping and vacuumingGiven the unique nature of the company and our strong focus on integrity and values, these cultural components of how we operate will be continually re-enforced.
