Assistant Manager, IT Procurement job in Hong Kong. Support strategic IT projects and digital transformation.Your new company Our client is a leading financial institution undergoing continuous digital transformation and technology modernisation. To support strategic technology initiatives, they are looking for an Assistant Manager, IT Procurement to join the IT Project Management team. As part of the IT Project team, you will partner closely with Project Managers, Technology leaders and vendors to manage procurement activities for major technology initiatives. You will be responsible for sourcing technology solutions, managing vendor engagements and ensuring procurement processes support project delivery timelines. Your new role Support procurement activities for strategic IT and digital transformation projectsCollaborate with project managers to develop procurement plans aligned with project timelinesManage RFP, RFQ and tender processes for technology solutions and servicesConduct commercial evaluation, supplier assessment and contract negotiationCoordinate with legal, compliance, risk and information security teams during vendor onboardingMonitor project procurement milestones and vendor deliverablesDrive cost optimisation while ensuring quality and project objectives are achievedMaintain strong relationships with technology suppliers and strategic partnersEnsure procurement activities comply with internal governance and regulatory requirements What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Information Technology or related disciplines3+ years of procurement experience with exposure to technology procurementExperience supporting IT infrastructure, system implementation, application development, cloud or digital transformation projectsKnowledge of RFP/RFQ processes, vendor evaluation and contract managementStrong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skillsExperience working with project teams within banking, financial services or large enterprises is advantageousAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneouslyStrong communication skills in English and ChineseWhat you'll get in return This is an excellent opportunity to join a major banking group at the forefront of digital transformation.
