This role supports daily logistics operations, including coordinating incoming import shipments, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely distribution of equipment and spare parts. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory planning, maintaining accurate stock records, and collaborating with suppliers and transport partners to optimize costs and lead times.The Assistant Logistics Manager will work closely with production, procurement, and customer service teams to align logistics activities with project timelines and client commitments. The role also involves preparing basic logistics reports, resolving delivery issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.Qualifications Strong logistics and supply chain skills, including Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management.Experience with import logistics and record holding.Knowledge of Procurement practices and coordination with vendors and transport providers.Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, delivery updates, and issue resolution in a professional manner.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.Ability to work on-site in Chennai, with strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP or inventory management software; familiarity with industrial or manufacturing environments is an advantage.Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
