Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP/AR)

JOB PURPOSE To manage and oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely processing of payments, collections, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role will leverage data analytics, business intelligence, automation, AI-enabled tools, and digital finance solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce financial risk, enhance cash flow visibility, and support strategic decision-making. The incumbent will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, automation projects, and finance transformation programs while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, contractual obligations, and UAE regulatory requirements. This aligns with the broader Network Finance function's focus on AP/AR ownership, banking governance, receivables management, reporting, and automation initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Payable Management Oversee end-to-end AP operations including invoice processing, payment approvals, bank/account reconciliations, and payment execution. Ensure payments are processed within contractual timelines. Monitor payment accuracy and adherence to authority matrices. Manage payment exception reporting and resolution. Accounts Receivable Management Monitor receivables ageing and collection performance. Lead collection activities and follow-up with payers and corporate clients. Identify delinquent accounts and escalate recovery actions. Perform payer reconciliations and account reviews. Financial Analysis & Reporting Develop and maintain AP/AR dashboards and KPI reports. Analyze trends in cash flow, aging, collections, payment cycles. Generate executive-level reports highlighting risks, opportunities, and financial performance. Provide actionable insights to management using data-driven analysis. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Utilize advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and reporting tools to deliver business insights. Build automated reports and performance scorecards. Perform predictive analysis on collections, payer behavior, and payment patterns. Support data governance and reporting accuracy initiatives. AI & Intelligent Automation Drive adoption of AI-enabled finance solutions and agent-based technologies. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive AP/AR activities through RPA, AI Copilot tools, and workflow automation. Utilize AI tools for reconciliation support, anomaly detection, cash-flow forecasting, reporting, and productivity enhancement. Act as a finance champion for digital transformation initiatives. Controls, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and finance governance standards. Support audit requests and compliance reviews. Monitor financial risks relating to outstanding receivables and payment obligations. Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and contractual requirements. Process Improvement Continuously identify opportunities for optimization and automation. Lead AP/AR process improvement projects. Support system upgrades, integrations, and finance transformation initiatives. Promote best practices and standardization across the finance function. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Supervise and mentor AP/AR team members. Collaborate closely with Claims, Operations, CRM, Legal, Provider Relations, and IT teams. Build strong relationships with providers, payers, banks, and external stakeholders. Support performance management, training, and capability development. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent are preferred. Experience 3-5 years of progressive finance experience. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role. Strong AP/AR operational experience. UAE healthcare insurance, TPA, payer, provider, or healthcare finance experience is highly desirable. Experience managing high-volume financial transactions and stakeholder relationships. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot). Power BI and dashboard development. Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities. ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Dynamics 365, etc.). Data extraction, transformation, and reporting skills. AI & Digital Skills Working knowledge of AI tools, Microsoft Copilot, intelligent agents, and finance automation platforms. Experience with RPA technologies (UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere) is an added advantage. Understanding of AI-assisted analytics, forecasting, and workflow optimization. Direct Billing & Claims Settlement Knowledge. Understanding of DHA, DOH, CBUAE, and healthcare regulatory environments. Exposure to banking integrations, H2H solutions, remittance processing, and reconciliation automation. Experience implementing AI, analytics, or finance transformation initiatives.
