Title: Assistant Manager, AML Regulatory & Technology Location: DubaiAbout the Client Our client is a leading banking group seeking an Assistant Manager, AML Regulatory & Technology to ensure the Bank's AML-CFT, Sanctions and Counter-Proliferation Financing framework and supporting technology remain aligned with regulatory obligations and international best practice. The role will strengthen regulatory change management, systems testing and management information reporting across the function.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct gap analysis against new and existing regulatory requirements, guidance and notices, and drive execution of resulting action plans across stakeholders.Act as the key point of contact for regulatory liaison, managing the timely handling of incoming and outgoing AML-CFT regulatory communications.Own the Bank's AML-CFT issue management tracker, overseeing findings from all sources through to remediation, resolution and escalation.Lead periodic testing and tuning of the AML Transaction Monitoring system, Sanctions Screening systems and Customer Risk Assessment model, recommending threshold or parameter enhancements based on outcomes.Coordinate model validation exercises and report on testing/validation status, root cause analysis and remedial actions to senior stakeholders.Strengthen the management information reporting framework, including reporting to relevant committees, and act as SPOC for bank-wide projects impacting the AML-CFT/Sanctions/CPF framework.Key RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent; a technical certification such as ACAMS or similar is advantageous.5–7+ years' relevant experience in AML regulatory change management, systems testing/tuning or financial crime technology within a regulated banking environment.Strong knowledge of the UAE AML-CFT, Sanctions and Proliferation Financing regulatory framework, along with relevant compliance/control systems.Experience with AML-CFT risk monitoring, model validation and regulatory gap analysis.Digitally-minded, with exposure to automation or AI-driven tools and experience streamlining manual processes.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to train and guide teams on regulatory requirements.
