Rentomojo offers attractive bundled rental subscriptions with zero cost of relocation and zero repair and maintenance cost at affordable cost that provides utility of EMI but not its rigidity.Role OverviewWe're looking for a commercially-minded finance professional to drive financial analysis and evaluation of business decisions across Rentomojo. This role sits close to the business — partnering with functional and category leaders to evaluate profitability, unit economics, and capital efficiency of ongoing and new initiatives — while also owning risk management and internal controls. You'll work directly with senior leadership to translate business performance into financial insight and drive data-backed decision-making across the company.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & Business EvaluationAnalyse budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across business lines, partnering with category and city/region heads to track performance against plan. Build and maintain unit economics and profitability models (per-category, per-city, per-category) to guide pricing, procurement, and growth decisions. Evaluate new business projects, initiatives, and expansion opportunities — building financial cases, sensitivity analysis, and go/no-go recommendations. Capital & Investment Decision SupportPartner with leadership on capital allocation decisions — capex planning, new category/city launches, and ROI evaluation. Build dashboards and analytics (Excel/Power BI/SQL) to give real-time visibility into key business and financial metrics. Identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities through data-driven analysis of spend, working capital, and operational metrics. Controls, Risk & Compliance (secondary scope)Support internal audit and IFC processes — assessing control effectiveness across financial and operational processes as needed. Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements relevant to business finance (revenue recognition, cost accruals, etc.) Liaise with statutory and internal auditors on business finance-related queries and audit requirements. Stakeholder ManagementPresent financial performance and recommendations to senior management, functional heads, and (as needed) the board/investors. Mentor and build a small team supporting business finance analytics and reporting. Required QualificationsEducationChartered Accountant, or MBA (Finance) with strong Controllership or FP&A background Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field Experience1-3 years in financial analysis, business evaluation, or financial planning roles Experience partnering with business/functional leadership in a high-growth, fast-paced environment — preferably e-commerce, subscription, or consumer tech Exposure to internal audit/IFC as part of a broader finance role Skills & CompetenciesStrong commercial and analytical mindset — comfortable moving between numbers and business strategy Strong understanding of business and operational risks and their impact on financials and business Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence non-finance leaders Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure Proven ability to build a team Technical SkillsHighly skilled in Advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar BI/analytics tools Strong knowledge of ERP systems Knowledge of SQL and macros is a plus Skills: capital & investment,finance,management,controls, risk & compliance,stakeholder management,leadership
