We're known for our signature cream-filled donuts, specialty coffee, handcrafted pastries, and warm, friendly hospitality.Join the Knotted Australia TeamWe're looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Hyde Park opening team.Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll help lead day-to-day store operations, develop the team, and ensure our guests consistently receive the high-quality experience Knotted is known for.This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems, and creating a positive and efficient store environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Store Manager with daily store operations and team management.Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.Supervise daily shifts and support the team during busy service periods.Assist with rostering, staff training, onboarding, and team development.Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.Support opening and closing procedures, POS operations, and cash handling.Monitor stock levels, ordering, inventory, and wastage.Assist with achieving store sales, labour, and operational targets.Handle customer enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures are followed.Communicate effectively across front-of-house, barista, pastry, and management teams.Support the Store Manager with implementing company procedures and operational standards.Take responsibility for store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable.Help establish a positive team culture and smooth operations for the Hyde Park opening.About YouPrevious experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar leadership role within hospitality.Experience in a busy café, bakery, restaurant, or other high-volume hospitality environment.Strong leadership skills with experience training, supporting, and motivating team members.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong organisation, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.Comfortable managing shifts and making operational decisions independently.Experience with rostering, POS systems, cash handling, stock control, and daily store procedures.Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.Barista or specialty coffee experience is highly regarded.Reliable, professional, and positive with a hands-on approach to leadership.Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.Full Australian working rights.What We OfferFree staff meals and drinks while working.Employee discounts across eligible Knotted products.Fair and balanced working hours.Training and ongoing professional development.Career growth opportunities as Knotted continues to expand across Australia.Friendly, supportive, and professional team environment.Opportunity to play a key role in the Cafe Knotted Hyde Park opening team.Join UsIf you're an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys developing teams, delivering excellent guest experiences, and being hands-on in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.Join Knotted Australia and help us bring the Knotted experience to Hyde Park in October 2026.
