Assistant Manager

PurposeResponsible for design and development of tyres and independent handling of OEM development projects from RFQ evaluation to product validation and approval.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesHandle OEM development projects from RFQ to final product approval. Review RFQs covering tyre size, application, load, speed, fitment, performance and customer requirements. Design/develop tyres including construction, dimensions, pattern/cavity inputs, materials and weight targets. Prepare/review product drawings and coordinate OEM drawing approval. Participate in design reviews and DFMEA. Coordinate prototype development, testing and product validation. Analyse test/field performance and recommend design improvements/corrective actions. Manage OEM sample submission, technical discussions, trials and approvals. Conduct benchmarking and value engineering for cost, weight and performance optimization. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Materials and Marketing for timely project completion.Qualification B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Automobile / Rubber / Polymer Technology or equivalentCompetenciesFunctional CompetenciesStrong knowledge of tyre design, construction and development process. Good understanding of product drawings, tyre testing and validation. Knowledge of OEM development process, RFQ, DFMEA and APQP/PPAP. Exposure to FEA/CAE preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with OEM customers.
