Assistant Manager Commercial & General Procurement

Job Purpose: The purpose of the job is to independently perform end-to-end strategic and routine procurement of the projects of CAPEX and OPEX related to the Commercial & General Procurement Domain, especially Civil Work. Job Responsibilities: Plan & execute day-to-day procurement of goods and services based on requirements from end users according to the sourcing policy.Manage the contracts. The individual should have a good understanding of the contracting process and be able to interpret the contract clauses and decide the actions. Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP of different natures and sizes of the projects. Manage technical projects independently and apply standard project management methods and practices. Build the category strategy along with the strategic & routine procurement plan for End-user Departments. Seek approval on the Procurement plan and bidding strategy and must be able to execute the strategy & Procurement Plan independently. Negotiate with suppliers with strong negotiation skills in order to deliver business objectives. Manage, evaluate, and improve key supplier performance to deliver the expected outcome. Lead performance evaluations and periodical business reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Keep oversight of contracts within category and ensures contract compliance considering payments terms, prices, discounts & rebates and perform in close coordination with internal business units. Responsible for managing the stakeholdersBuild customer management framework program for User Departments. Ensure that the bidding processes are followed as per the Procurement Policy. Motivate vendors/suppliers for maximum participation in the tenders in order to get competitive prices & quality goods in-line of the Procurement policy. Prepare and execute RFQs by assuring 100% procurement policies compliance which include but not limited to reviewing requisitions, setting up cross functional purchasing teams, analyzing specifications, conducting supplier market analysis, constructing the evaluation criteria, analyzing bids, strong negotiation, selecting suppliers, getting case approval through Power Point Presentations and System related approvals. Assist in all programs, duties, strategies, and materials assigned by the management & keep them informed about the current developments in the field of purchasing, prices, market conditions and new productsEligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):Education: Must have Bachelors Degree preferably BE Engineering/ Telecom or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, and International Business & Economics. Accredited Procurement & Supply chain certifications will be preferred.Work Experience: Preferably up to 6 to 8 Years of relevant experience of Technical or Commercial Sourcing preferably sourcing of Civil works related projectsSkills – Generic: High standard integrity and Moral Values Strong project management skills (setting/managing timelines, prioritization, communication) Problem solving & Negotiation skills.
