Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts

As a leading logistics solutions provider, we specialize in air/sea/land freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain management.About the Role:Kara Express is looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts in Mumbai (Andheri East) to manage day-to-day finance operations, including AR/AP, billing, collections, reconciliations, cash flow, statutory compliance, shipment costing and MIS.Key Responsibilities:Manage AR/AP, customer billing, collections and vendor payments.Ensure accurate shipment-wise billing, costing and profitability.Monitor customer outstanding, ageing and DSO.Handle bank, customer, vendor and overseas/inter-company reconciliations.Manage cash flow, payment schedules and fund requirements.Coordinate GST, TDS and statutory compliance with consultants.Support month-end closing, accruals, provisions and P&L.Prepare MIS on revenue, GP, outstanding, ageing, cash flow and profitability.Coordinate with HQ/overseas offices for foreign currency transactions and settlements.Strengthen finance processes, controls and documentation.Candidate Profile:B.Com / M.Com / MBA – Finance or equivalent.4–6 years of relevant Finance & Accounts experience.Experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Shipping / Courier preferred.Strong knowledge of AR, AP, GL, reconciliation, GST & TDS.Good understanding of freight billing, costing and profitability.Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.Tally experience is mandatory.Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-growing, international business environment.What We OfferOpportunity to work with a growing international logistics organisation.Exposure to India business finance, commercial operations and overseas teams.Opportunity to contribute to building and strengthening finance processes.
