Backed by global investors like Y Combinator, we serve thousands of businesses and are rapidly scaling our Virtual Accountant (VA), which delivers end-to-end finance operations.Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly driven Assistant Manager (Finance) to own the monthly close, reporting, and compliance processes. In this full-time role, you will lead group statutory and tax audits, drive MIS and business partnering, and oversee cash, AP/AR, and reconciliations. You will also manage and review junior team members while focusing on process automation and continuous improvement.Where You Can Create Impact Own the monthly close on Zoho and lead Group statutory and tax audits for reporting Ensure strict controls and compliance by running the internal-controls checklist, maintaining audit-ready books with zero high-risk observations, and handling GST, TDS, and income-tax compliance Drive MIS and business partnering by providing monthly MIS and insights to senior management by the 10th of the following month, conducting variance analysis, and supporting decisions with data Review associate work before sign-off, cut close-cycle time, and drive automation across teams and processes Provide comprehensive oversight across cash, AP/AR, and reconciliations within the owned scopeRequirementsMust Have Qualified CA with 4-7 years of experience in accounting or finance Deep knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, and income-tax Highly accurate and proactive approach to catch and fix issues before they escalate Experience managing and reviewing junior team members and collaborating effectively across teams Hands-on experience with Zoho and advanced proficiency in MS Excel Strong automation mindset with a focus on process improvement, tooling, and AI-driven finance workflowsGood to Have Prior finance experience in SaaS, fintech, or startup environmentsBenefitsOur Way of Life — The Karbon ValuesC - Collaborate to WinWe back each other and move with shared purpose—clients win when we win together.E - Excel RelentlesslyPrecision matters.
