This approach enables customers to make timely and effective investments in technology in a rapidly changing world.Role Description The Assistant Manager Finance is a full-time, on-site role based in the Colombo District. This role is responsible for supporting the financial management of the company, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitoring cash flow. The Assistant Manager Finance will oversee general ledger entries, ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial data for accuracy, supporting audits, coordinating with internal teams on cost control and revenue tracking, and preparing management reports for decision-making. The role also involves assisting in the development of financial policies, enhancing internal controls, and contributing to process improvements within the finance function.Qualifications:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and other financial information required by management.Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.Prepare and review journal entries, invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.Perform and supervise bank, cash, and general ledger reconciliations.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.Monitor company expenses and ensure proper supporting documents and approvals are available.Assist with statutory payments, tax calculations, and other regulatory requirements.Support internal and external audit activities and ensure timely submission of required documentation.Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.Supervise and guide junior finance team members and support the Finance Manager in daily finance operations.Requirements: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Part or full qualification in CA, ACCA, CIMA, or another recognized professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory requirements.Good experience in preparing management accounts, reconciliations, budgets, and financial reports.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to supervise a team and work effectively with different departments.High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to financial compliance.
