Assistant Manager Finance

Job Description:The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations across the organization. This role assists in overseeing accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance with company policies and government regulations. The position involves coordinating with internal departments, external partners, auditors, and financial institutions while supporting financial planning, process improvements, and effective cost management to maintain the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Finance Manager and assist in implementing financial policies, procedures, systems, and process improvements.Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and financial transactions, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and supported.Prepare and analyze P&L reports by channel, or product, and highlight significant variances, trends, and areas requiring management attention.Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and monitoring of actual expenses against approved budgets.Monitor cash flow, collections, disbursements, and other financial activities to support effective cash management.Perform reconciliation of sales, fees, returns, cancellations, and other transactions from e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok, Lazada, and other sales channels.Monitor inventory-related financial activities by coordinating with Warehouse, Operations, Procurement, and E-commerce teams, including inventory reconciliation, costing, replenishment, returns, write-offs, and adjustments.Review financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documents to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and coordinate appropriate corrections.Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, banks, auditors, and other external partners regarding finance and accounting requirements.Assist in ensuring compliance with GAAP, applicable accounting standards, BIR requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.Assist in audit preparation and provide required financial documents and reports to internal and external auditors.Monitor financial controls and recommend improvements to minimize risks, errors, and unnecessary costs.Support inventory and cost monitoring by coordinating with Operations, Warehouse, Procurement, and other relevant teams.Provide financial analysis and insights to the Finance Manager to support business decisions, cost management, profitability analysis, and operational improvementsAssist in supervising and providing guidance to Finance team members, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.Escalate significant financial discrepancies, risks, compliance issues, and unusual transactions to the Finance Manager for review and appropriate action.Able to work independently, handle confidential financial information, manage deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.A team player who can balance hands-on financial operations with analytical and strategic thinking.Perform other finance-related duties and special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager.Qualifications and ExperienceGraduate of a four-year course, preferably in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.With at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.CPA license is an advantage.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Effective communicator who can coordinate with multiple teams and external partners.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.dently with minimal supervision
