Assistant Manager Finance

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing finance and accounting functions including budgeting, costing, cash-flow management, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations.Assist in ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports to support senior management in critical business decision-making.Maintain high standards of accounting accuracy and compliance, ensuring all financial activities adhere to company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.Manage effective treasury and cash-flow management, ensuring optimal utilisation and control of company funds.Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing, working closely with other divisions to resolve accounting, billing, payment, and tax-related matters efficiently.Manage statutory and tax-related requirements, including timely coordination with the Inland Revenue Department and other relevant statutory authorities.Liaise with financial institutions, insurance companies, auditors, and other external stakeholders on finance-related matters.Coordinate and facilitate the annual external audit, ensuring accurate records, supporting schedules, documentation, and timely responses to audit requirements.Monitor budgets, costs, revenue, and financial performance, identifying significant variances and providing meaningful insights to management.Maintain effective financial controls and reconciliations, ensuring accurate records and minimising financial and operational risks.BenefitsAbove industry average remuneration and benefitsModern and flexible working environmentHealth insurance and life insuranceConvenient office shuttle service for daily commuteCharacteristicsCommon sense with the right attitudeCreative and out-of-box thinkingA team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAnalytical and insightful attention to detailAbility to work without supervisionProject management expert

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a similar capacity at a reputed organisation, preferably in the service industryAn associate member of ACCA(UK) / Chartered Accountants of Sri LankaAn MBA from a recognized university in the field of Finance / Accounting is an added advantageSound knowledge of accounting standards and tax-related mattersHaving prior audit experience will be an added advantageStrong communication, interpersonal and analytical skillsIf you have the required qualifications and experience in line with our requirements, we would like to hear from you.
