Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob PurposeThe Assistant Manager – Finance will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial accounting, reporting, and compliance across Group entities. The role involves managing general ledger activities, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, overseeing intercompany reconciliations, and assisting with multi-entity financial consolidation.The position will also support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, management information reporting (MIS), external audits, and UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance.The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong experience in the real estate industry, sound knowledge of IFRS, and hands-on experience in financial reporting and consolidation. The candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple entities.Key Accountabilities:General Ledger Management and Financial Closing:Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.Perform general ledger account analysis, scrutiny, and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records.Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.Intercompany Reconciliation and Group Consolidation:Own and manage the monthly intercompany reconciliation process across Group entities.Coordinate with finance teams to investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies in a timely manner.Support multi-entity financial consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, and foreign currency translation.Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across Group entities in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.Compliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Support UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance, including preparation and review of supporting schedules, reconciliations, and relevant documentation.Coordinate with local finance teams and external tax advisers to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and support documentation.Support external audits throughout the audit cycle, including planning, fieldwork, audit schedules, resolution of queries, and final reporting.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and support monthly management information system (MIS) reports and financial performance reports.Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.Prepare financial analyses and provide insights to support management decision-making.Monitor key financial performance indicators and highlight significant variances.Financial Reporting:Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Group reporting requirements.Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports in accordance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules across Group entities.Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely completion of financial reporting and audit requirements.Qualifications, Experiences, Core Competencies Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UAE Corporate Tax, and VAT.Sound understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and Group consolidation principles.Knowledge of statutory financial reporting, internal controls, and external audit requirements.Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Minimum Experience (number of years):Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and related finance functions.Real estate industry experience is mandatory, preferably with a real estate developer or a large corporation managing a portfolio of real estate assets.Proven hands-on experience in multi-entity financial consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.Strong experience in managing intercompany reconciliations across multiple Group entities.Practical experience in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.Experience preparing financial statements, MIS reports, and management financial analyses.Working experience in UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance.Experience supporting external audits, including audit planning, fieldwork, and final reporting.Experience in accounts payable, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight reporting deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Core Competencies:Execution & DeliveryResult oriented, ensures operational excellence in areas of responsibility and delivers best results.
