Financial Reporting & ManagementOversee the full spectrum of financial and management accounting functions, including group consolidation for the company and its subsidiaries.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act 2016, and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.Manage the annual audit process and act as the key liaison with external auditors.Develop and implement robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.2. Project Finance & CostingLead the financial management of all construction projects, including detailed project costing, progress billings, and revenue recognition in accordance with MFRS 15.Work closely with project managers and the operations team to monitor project budgets, analyze cost variances, and ensure project profitability.Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts and manage funding requirements.3. Budgeting, Forecasting & TreasuryLead the annual corporate budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.Manage the Group's cash flow and treasury functions, optimizing working capital and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.Maintain and foster strong relationships with bankers to manage credit facilities, project financing, and other banking requirements.4. Taxation & ComplianceEnsure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including corporate income tax, Sales & Service Tax (SST), and withholding tax.Manage and review tax computations and submissions, working closely with tax agents to optimize the company's tax position.Liaise effectively with all relevant regulatory bodies, including LHDN, Royal Malaysian Customs, and Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).5. Team Leadership & Strategic SupportLead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Provide strategic financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and long-term business strategy.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSPossess a Degree in Accounting with a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.Proven experience within the construction or property development industry in Malaysia.Experience working in a publicly listed company is highly advantageous.In-depth knowledge of MFRS, particularly MFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).Strong expertise in project costing, cash flow management, and corporate taxation.Proficient in using ERP systems; experience with construction-specific accounting software is a plus.Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Meticulous, with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
