The successful candidate will also play an important role in financial reporting, regulatory and audit requirements, IFRS-related projects and the development of management reporting capabilities.You will work closely with senior management and stakeholders across the organisation, providing timely and accurate information, identifying performance variances and supporting initiatives that improve financial control, efficiency and business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and deliver timely and accurate management information (MIS) and financial reports to support management decision-making.Monitor business performance, identify significant variances and undertake initial analysis of the reasons for under- or over-performance.Support the assessment and implementation of changes to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and assess their potential impact on financial position and performance.Participate in IFRS transition and other finance-related projects, working with cross-functional teams.Support tax compliance initiatives and other financial reporting projects.Coordinate and respond to requirements from internal and external auditors, regulators and advisory consultants.Support regulatory reviews, inspections and reporting requirements.Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting timetables and deliverables.Support the development and enhancement of MIS tools and reporting techniques to enable management to monitor performance and take timely corrective action.Oversee the preparation and communication of quarterly and annual reporting cycles.Lead the preparation of variance analysis, exception reports and segmental reporting for management review.Support financial analysis activities and provide business support to relevant business units and subsidiaries.Ensure accurate and timely provision of financial and management information to Audit, Compliance, Risk and other stakeholders.Work with IT and other relevant teams to identify and resolve reporting and systems requirements.Prepare and support the development of IFRS accounting conclusion papers, policies and procedures.Participate in projects including financial due diligence and other strategic finance initiatives.Support the analysis of potential M&A transactions and assess their impact on the organisation's balance sheet and financial performance.Identify requirements for enhancements to MIS and risk management systems and support or lead implementation.Review rating agency and other external reports and coordinate the provision of required financial information.Support the analysis and reporting of structured financial products where required.Undertake P&L income and expense analysis and monthly balance sheet proofing.Promote cost awareness, operational efficiency and productivity across the finance function.Ensure all activities are undertaken within delegated authorities and in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, Information Technology or a related discipline.At least 4 years' relevant experience, ideally gained within a financial services or international banking environment.Fluent in both English and ArabicA professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA, with relevant post-qualification experience.Strong understanding of financial reporting and IFRS requirements.Awareness of financial derivatives and their associated accounting and financial reporting considerations.Good understanding of applicable laws, regulations and financial services practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret financial information and identify key issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise management reports.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.The ability to make sound decisions and take ownership of initiatives through to completion.Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.A proactive, results-oriented approach and a high level of personal integrity.What You'll BringWe are looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.You should be comfortable working with complex financial information, challenging existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and translating analysis into clear recommendations for senior management.This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take on a varied role with significant exposure to financial reporting, management information, regulatory matters and strategic business support.
