Assistant Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Job DescriptionsWork closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and objectivesProvide financial guidance and support to departmental heads to ensure effective cost managementProactively provide business insights and analysis to profitability and operating efficiencies of business channel and business centerEvaluate current and past financial data to identify trends and analyse business performanceAnalyse operating expenses forecast/ budget vs actual and provide regular updates to managementAssist in preparation of monthly management report, highlighting key performance metricsAssist in preparation of strategic plans, annual budget and quarterly forecasts including establishing assumptions, analysis and presentation preparation review and analysis Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by senior managementJob RequirementsDegree in accountancy or ACCA/CIMA/Chartered Accountant and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the commercial finance/business analysis experience in the retail/FMCG industryProficient in Microsoft Excel, finance and accounting software, e.g. SAP, Qlik Sense and any EPMAnalytical mindset and problem-solving skillsA self-driven, independent individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to foster effective cross-functional collaborationDemonstrates a digital mindset and willingness to leverage AI tools, data analytics and emerging technologies to improve financial analysis, reporting, automation and productivity
