Today, Valiram is Southeast Asia’s leading luxury goods and 360° retail specialist with presence in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam and the Philippines.Operating more than 500 stores, a number which continues to grow, the group represents in excess of 200 brands across various categories, from fashion and accessories, timepieces and jewelry, perfume and cosmetics to confectionery and dining concepts.Learn more about us at www.valiram.comPosition Summary: Act as the Human Resources point of contact for Vietnam, owning the local HR agenda across business partnering, workforce planning, HR operations, employee relations, compliance and reporting for the office and store network.Partner the General Manager, Vietnam and store and department leadership on day-to-day people matters, working with Regional Human Resources on policy, standards and alignment across markets.Lead manpower and workforce planning as Vietnam scales towards an estimated headcount of around 90 to 100 in FY2027, ensuring hiring, onboarding and HR readiness keep pace with new store openings.Hold accountability for HR operational accuracy — employee data and records, contracts, probation, confirmation and renewal timelines, attendance and leave, statutory submissions and reporting.Review, verify and confirm the monthly payroll prepared by the appointed outsourced provider, and support any future review of the payroll operating model.Handle employee relations, investigations, disciplinary and performance matters independently, in line with the Vietnam Labour Code and Company policy.Key Areas of Responsibilities: BUSINESS PARTNERING & WORKFORCE PLANNINGAct as HR advisor to the General Manager, Vietnam and line managers on organisation structure, headcount, people cost, team performance and day-to-day people decisions.Own manpower planning for the market, translating the business plan and store opening pipeline into a rolling workforce plan, headcount budget and hiring timeline.Support succession and internal talent planning for key office and store positions, identifying potential successors and development moves together with the business and Regional HR.TALENT ACQUISITION & RETAIL PIPELINEManage recruitment for office and retail positions end to end, with priority on new store opening readiness so teams are hired, onboarded and trained ahead of opening.Build and maintain talent pipelines for frontline and supervisory retail roles across store locations, using direct sourcing, referrals, retail networks and selected agency partners.Guide store and department managers on interviewing, selection standards and onboarding quality.HR OPERATIONS, PAYROLL & DATA INTEGRITYAccountable for the accuracy and timeliness of employee records and HRIS data, employment contracts, probation, confirmation and renewal timelines, attendance and leave administration.Review, verify and confirm the monthly payroll prepared by the appointed outsourced payroll provider (currently Talentnet) — validating movements, allowances, deductions, statutory contributions and final settlements, and resolving discrepancies before confirmation.Bring hands-on payroll capability to the role and support future reviews of the payroll operating model.EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, COMPLIANCE & POLICYHandle employee relations, grievance, disciplinary and performance matters independently — conducting investigations, preparing documentation and advising managers in line with the Vietnam Labour Code and Company policy.Ensure compliance with labour, statutory insurance, tax and work permit requirements; monitor legislative changes, assess business impact and advise the General Manager and Regional HR.Maintain and localise HR policies, SOPs and the employee handbook, and safeguard the confidentiality of employee and business information.PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT, REPORTING & PROJECTSDrive the performance management cycle and coordinate onboarding, service, operational and compliance training for store and office teams.Prepare monthly HR reporting — headcount, manpower cost, attrition, recruitment and employee relations — with commentary and recommendations rather than data alone.Provide HR support to staff where applicable and contribute to regional HR projects and other assignments as required.Candidate Requirements: Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.Minimum 7 years of broad HR generalist or HR business partnering experience, including scope at supervisory or Assistant Manager level.Multi-site retail or another fast-growing consumer business preferred, with experience supporting store or field teams across locations.Strong, hands-on payroll experience — able to verify and challenge third-party output and, if required, run payroll directly.Working knowledge of the Vietnam Labour Code and statutory requirements (social, health and unemployment insurance, personal income tax, work permits).Track record of handling employee relations, investigations and disciplinary matters independently.Excellent and mature communication and listening skillsSound judgement and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive mattersConfident in advising, influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholdersMeticulous with data, documentation and deadlinesComfortable working independently in a lean, fast-growing, multi-site environmentResilient, hands-on, with high energy and personal dynamismFluent in Vietnamese and English, written and spoken.
