Purpose of the Role:The Assistant Manager of Indirect Procurement acts as a strategic deputy to the Procurement Manager, exercising a high degree of autonomy in managing complex categories. This role requires a self-motivated multi-tasker professional with a strong Procurement Mindset, and is capable of delivering high-quality outputs and driving the procurement lifecycle under intense, time-sensitive pressure.

Job Responsibilities

Independent End to End Category Ownership:Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies and RFx processes without daily supervision, ensuring total alignment with SHK’s commercial goals.Managerial SupportAct as the primary deputy to the Procurement Manager, assisting in high-level strategic planning, specialized ad-hoc projects, and the finalization of critical department materials.Sustainability & ComplianceDrive inclusive sourcing and ethical practices while auditing procurement policies to ensure strict risk mitigation.Strategic Commercial NegotiationIndependently lead and finalize the end-to-end negotiation of high-value agreements, making decisive adjustments to capture maximum commercial value.Operational Governance & ComplianceExecute independent audits of procurement workflows to ensure strict adherence to policy. Spearhead the Annual Supplier Performance Management (SPM) framework to formalize SLAs, while maintaining absolute data integrity across all cost-saving and financial reporting.Independent AnalysisDeliver high-fidelity spend analytics and commercial comparisons. Translate raw data into "Value-Added Analysis" providing robust recommendations to withstand intense executive and financial scrutiny.Process Localization & Systems IntegrationProvide technical guidance to Senior Officers (SO). Review and proofread all Procurement deliverables to ensure they meet the Procurement standards prior to managerial finalization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.Minimum 5 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in indirect categories in consumer, retail or beauty industry.Proven track record in running RFx processes and vendor negotiations independently.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experienced with ERP/ procurement systems is preferred.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a single point of contact for vendors.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.Integrity and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and compliance standards.
