With a decade of experience in the region and a team that possesses extensive knowledge of the market, we provide a fully integrated HR solution.We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager – Internal Audit (Exchange House) for our client to be based out of their Abu Dhabi Office. Purpose-The Assistant Manager – Internal Audit is responsible for independently executing risk-based audit engagements across all functions of Exchange house, including branches and head office operations, in line with the approved annual audit plan. This role ensures timely delivery of high-quality internal audit reports that comply with IIA Standards.The position also requires continuous awareness of CBUAE Standards, Guidance, Notices, and other applicable UAE laws and regulations relevant to exchange house operations.Responsibility-Independently plan, execute, and document internal audit engagements covering head office departments, branch operations, and critical business processes, ensuring alignment with the approved risk-based annual audit plan and audit objectives, including audits covering AML/CFT/PF compliance, Consumer Protection requirements, Remittance, FC buy/sale and WPS processes at branches, cash handling procedures, information technology general controls, and branch operational controls.Manage audit assignments to ensure completion within the defined timelines, while maintaining the quality and depth of audit procedures. Ensure that audit reports are drafted and circulated promptly upon completion of fieldwork.Develop detailed internal audit reports that comply with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA Standards).Ensure all significant audit observations are discussed in a timely manner with the relevant process owners and auditees during and after the fieldwork stage, with factual agreement and management responses obtained prior to finalizing the report.Conduct structured follow-up reviews and validate closure of audit findings through review of supporting evidence and verification procedures. Maintain and regularly update the internal audit tracker to reflect the accurate status of all outstanding and closed issues.Plan and execute, or provide support in, unplanned or ad-hoc audit assignments as directed by Chief Internal Auditor. This includes investigative reviews, management-requested audits, or control assessments in response to emerging risks or incidents.Skills-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, CPA, or ACCA preferred.8 or more years of relevant internal audit experience, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in financial services or money exchange sector.Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, risk management principles, and UAE Central Bank regulatory framework.Demonstrated capability to independently execute and manage audit engagements.Strong report writing and stakeholder communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with audit management tools.
