Black & Grey HR is seeking an Assistant Manager – Logistics to join our client, a leading Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) / steel building manufacturing company based in Sharjah, UAE. The role will be responsible for managing export logistics, customs clearance, shipping documentation, freight coordination, and Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, ensuring smooth and timely movement of PEB materials to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end export shipments by land, sea, and air, ensuring timely execution as per sales and customer requirements. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, customs authorities, and the Chamber of Commerce. Prepare and process Certificate of Origin, B/L, TCN, AWB, and other export documents. Independently manage and verify Letter of Credit (LC) documentation to ensure compliance and avoid discrepancies. Track shipments and resolve customs, border, and clearance issues to ensure timely delivery. Manage freight quotations, LPOs, customs deposit refunds, and maintain accurate export records. Provide shipment updates to Sales and other internal departments and respond to customer logistics queries. Monitor workplace safety equipment and systems and ensure they remain in safe working condition. Promote proper use of utilities and responsible waste disposal, and report unsafe conditions, equipment, or environmental concerns to HSE. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, export, customs clearance, and shipping coordination. Experience in PEB, structural steel, steel fabrication, or a similar manufacturing industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures, export documentation, and international shipping. Proven hands-on experience independently managing LC documentation and procedures. Strong negotiation, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
