Southern Travels is an active member of multiple national and international travel and hospitality associations, underscoring its credibility and professional standards.Role Description The Assistant Manager/Manager – Accounts & Finance is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and petty cash handling. The position is responsible for monitoring credit control, supporting budgeting and financial planning, preparing periodic financial statements and MIS reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements. The role includes coordinating with internal departments and external partners such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities, as well as assisting in process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and control. The individual will also support management with financial analysis for decision-making and help maintain accurate and timely financial records.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and familiarity with accounting software.Candidates should possess solid Finance skills, including budgeting, financial reporting, MIS preparation, and basic financial analysis.Candidates should possess effective Credit Control skills, with experience in managing receivables, monitoring customer credit limits, and ensuring timely collections.Candidates should possess robust Petty Cash management skills, including cash handling, documentation, and reconciliation.Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CA/ICWA/CPA or pursuing) are an advantage.Experience of 3–7 years in accounts and finance, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or services sector, with knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in MS Excel and other office
