Assistant Manager – Marine

General Overview:We are partnering with a leading organization within the UAE insurance sector to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager – Marine for its growing team in Dubai.This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven insurance professional with strong expertise in marine insurance and business development. The successful candidate will contribute to expanding the marine portfolio across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, building strong market relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting sustainable portfolio growth.Key Responsibilities:Develop and expand the Marine Insurance portfolio across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.Identify and pursue new business opportunities across marine cargo, hull, liability, and related insurance products.Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, corporate clients, shipping companies, logistics providers, and key stakeholders.Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and deliver tailored insurance solutions based on client requirements.Monitor market trends and identify emerging business and growth opportunities.Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery and strong client satisfaction.Achieve assigned business targets and contribute to overall portfolio and revenue growth.Support strategic business planning and represent the organization at client meetings, networking events, and industry engagements.Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.7–10 years of relevant experience in marine insurance, business development, or a related insurance function.Strong knowledge of marine insurance products, underwriting principles, and market practices.Proven track record in business development, portfolio growth, and achieving commercial targets.Established network across Dubai and the Northern Emirates is highly preferred.Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercially focused mindset.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver against business objectives.
