Assistant Manager Reporting (Finance)

métier - Strategic HR Solutions is hiring an 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 – 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞) for a leading insurance firm in the UAE.This role will be responsible for supporting financial reporting, management reporting, regulatory reporting, month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information in line with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.The role will work closely with finance, actuarial, underwriting, audit, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting and contribute to the continuous enhancement of financial reporting processes.𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬Prepare, review, and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and financial statements.Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of reporting requirements.Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.Support the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory financial reports in accordance with applicable UAE requirements.Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards, with particular focus on IFRS 17 requirements applicable to insurance companies.Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies.Support insurance-related accounting and reporting activities, including insurance contracts and reinsurance accounting where applicable.Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls, systems, and reporting efficiencies.Work closely with actuarial, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, and other business functions to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.Support finance projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞Fully qualified 𝐂𝐀 (Chartered Accountant) or 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐀 is mandatory.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.4–7 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance.Previous experience within the 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 industry is highly preferred.Strong experience in financial reporting and preparation/review of financial statements.Good knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.Practical knowledge of 𝐈𝐅𝐑𝐒 𝟏𝟕 and its application within the insurance industry will be highly advantageous.Experience with statutory and/or regulatory reporting within the UAE insurance sector is preferred.Experience working with external auditors and supporting audit requirements.UAE/GCC insurance experience will be an advantage.𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and IFRS.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Good understanding of insurance accounting and financial reporting processes.Strong Excel and financial reporting skills; experience with ERP/finance systems is desirable.Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and deliver accurate outputs under pressure.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively with finance, actuarial, underwriting, reinsurance, and other business teams.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
