Assistant Operations Manager

We are looking for Assistant Operations Manager who will support the overall management and strategic direction of our Rent a Car Division, overseeing retail sales, business development, and daily operations. The role is responsible for improving profitability, growing revenue, controlling operational costs, maximizing fleet utilization, and ensuring the effective execution of the company’s approved business plans and targets.The position will oversee operational teams and Team Leaders, ensuring efficient fleet management, customer satisfaction, sales performance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities1. Business Management & SalesManage retail sales and daily operations to improve profitability, grow revenue, and control costs.Execute the company’s approved business plans, sales strategies, and operational targets.Drive new business opportunities, corporate accounts, leasing contracts, and retail rentals.Monitor rental rates, pricing strategies, vehicle utilization, and revenue generation.Identify opportunities to improve business performance and market competitiveness.2. Operations & Team ManagementOversee daily operations of the Rent a Car Division and ensure smooth business operations.Supervise and coordinate Team Leaders across the division.Monitor team performance, productivity, and achievement of operational targets.Ensure proper staff coordination, attendance, discipline, and performance management.Support recruitment, training, and development of operational staff.Resolve operational challenges and escalate critical matters to senior management.3. Fleet ManagementMonitor fleet availability, allocation, utilization, maintenance, and vehicle documentation.Ensure maximum vehicle utilization and minimize vehicle downtime.Oversee vehicle bookings, deliveries, collections, returns, and replacement arrangements.Coordinate with workshops, insurance companies, suppliers, and other service providers.Monitor fleet-related expenses, maintenance costs, damages, and associated losses.4. Customer Service & Business OperationsEnsure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction.Handle major customer complaints, escalations, breakdowns, and operational issues.Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, suppliers, and business partners.Ensure timely execution of rental agreements and customer requirements.5. Financial & Cost ControlMonitor divisional revenue, expenses, profitability, and overall financial performance.Coordinate with Finance regarding collections, deposits, outstanding payments, fines, damages, and other financial matters.Monitor operational costs and implement cost-control measures.Review business performance against budgets, targets, and profitability expectations.6. Reporting, Compliance & Process ImprovementPrepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational and business performance reports.Monitor KPIs covering sales, revenue, fleet utilization, collections, and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.Maintain accurate fleet, rental, financial, and employee records.Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in Rent a Car, Delivery ,Fleet Management, or a similar industry.UAE experience is required.Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Good communication and customer service skills.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and operational software.Knowledge of ERP, CRM, fleet management, and AI tools is an advantage.Ability to prepare reports and monitor KPIs.Valid UAE driving license is required.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.Key Performance ExpectationsRevenue growth and retail sales performance.Overall divisional profitability and cost control.Fleet utilization and reduction of vehicle downtime.Corporate leasing and rental business development.Collection efficiency and reduction of outstanding receivables.Customer satisfaction and service quality.Team productivity and achievement of operational targets.
