Employment Type: Full-timeWe are currently supporting one of our clients, a leading company in the restaurant industry, in hiring an Assistant Operations Manager – New Store Openings & Expansion to join their growing operations team.About the RoleThe Assistant Operations Manager will support the planning, coordination, and successful execution of new restaurant openings across Saudi Arabia, while assisting in maintaining operational excellence across assigned locations.The role will work closely with internal departments, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and restaurant teams to ensure operational readiness, smooth store launches, and strong post-opening performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and execution of new restaurant openings and expansion projects from initial planning through successful launch.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure operational readiness before opening.Support the evaluation of potential restaurant locations in coordination with the Operations Manager.Ensure operational requirements, equipment, systems, licenses, staffing, and opening checklists are completed before launch.Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training of new restaurant teams with HR and Training departments.Provide on-site operational support during new store openings.Support the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned restaurant locations.Monitor post-opening performance, identify operational gaps, and implement corrective actions with restaurant management.Ensure compliance with company standards related to food quality, food safety, customer service, health, and operational excellence.Support cost control, inventory management, financial performance, and operational efficiency across assigned locations.Prepare regular reports covering new store opening progress, operational performance, and improvement initiatives.Support operational improvement projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the Operations Manager.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.5–7 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.Proven experience managing day-to-day operations across multiple restaurant locations.Experience in multi-unit restaurant operations, preferably within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, preferably within fast-casual dining or sushi restaurants.Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, inventory management, and operational KPIs.Good knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.Proven leadership and team management capabilities.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Experience with restaurant management software and POS systems.Food Safety certification such as HACCP or ServSafe is preferred.Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.Saudi candidates are preferred; however, candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply.Willingness to travel occasionally between Jeddah and Riyadh.What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for an operationally strong and hands-on restaurant professional who can manage multiple priorities, support new store launches, lead teams, and drive operational performance in a fast-paced environment.If you have strong multi-unit restaurant operations experience and are looking for an opportunity to contribute to the expansion of a growing restaurant business in Saudi Arabia, we would be pleased to hear from you.
