A community of professionals, Trinity is dedicated to excellence in teaching, education research and scholarly engagement, as well as community involvement. This is a primarily teaching-focused faculty appointment, with responsibilities centered on medical student education, curriculum development, assessment, student advising, and academic service, with opportunities for scholarly and research engagement.The basic science component of the MD program is based on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, while the clinical science component is located in Warner Robins, Georgia. Successful applicants will be expected to work on the St. Vincent campus.Job Description:Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence Working in integrated curriculumApply unique, innovative teaching-learning and student-advising strategiesImplement content on Physiology in the MD programs.Collaborate effectively with basic science & clinical science faculty to enhance course design, didactics delivery, lab instruction, seminar facilitation, and active learning sessions.Create quizzes to gauge students' understanding of the information delivered, utilizing the most recent USMLE format for test questions. Didactics and questions should be based upon the latest USMLE Content Outline.Work closely with Assistant/Associate Dean of Internal Assessment to choose NBME CAS questions for use in end of module examsExhibit outstanding leadership abilities within the university. Participate actively in the various institutional committees the Dean or Provost assigns.Inform the Dean/Provost of academic progress.Work with the other faculty to horizontally & vertically integrate Physiology into other medical sciences courses and to engage in research activities with students.Maintain effective communication with the administration, faculty, staff, and students.Minimum QualificationMD or Ph.D. in the relevant subjects (or equivalent)Experience in medical education in the Caribbean is preferredExpected Experience/SkillsExpertise in instructing medical students in PhysiologyApplication MaterialsCandidates must provide the following:Complete CVStatement of teaching philosophyNames, addresses, and email addresses of 3 professional referencesCover letter outlining their level of interest, experience, suitability for the position, and earliest date of availability Preference will be given to candidates who are available to begin in the near term.
