Assistant Procurement Manager📍 Cork City | Permanent | Hybrid/On-siteAre you an experienced Procurement, Purchasing or Buying professional looking for your next step?We’re looking for a commercially driven Assistant Procurement Manager to join an established and successful Irish business in Cork.This is a great opportunity for someone who already has strong procurement experience and is ready to take on more responsibility, influence and ownership, with clear scope to progress within the business.Working closely with the Head of Procurement, you’ll play a key role in driving commercial and procurement performance across the business.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the development and delivery of procurement strategyManaging and developing key supplier relationshipsLeading/overseeing supplier negotiations, pricing, RFQs and RFPsManaging product ranges and identifying opportunities for improvementMonitoring market trends, pricing and competitor activitySupporting demand forecasting, purchasing and stock managementAnalysing sales, cost, margin, stock and supplier performanceIdentifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve marginsWorking closely with Buying, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and other internal teamsDriving continuous improvement across procurement and purchasing processesUsing data and ERP systems to improve efficiency and decision-makingWe're interested in speaking with candidates who have:3–5+ years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing or BuyingStrong commercial and analytical skillsProven experience negotiating with suppliersExperience managing supplier relationshipsExcellent Excel/data analysis skillsExperience working with an ERP or purchasing systemStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyA relevant degree in Procurement, Business, Supply Chain, Economics or a related disciplineThis isn't just an administration-focused procurement role.
