This focus on quality, innovation, and compliance provides team members with a stable environment and opportunities to contribute to a global safety brand.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Procurement Manager role based in Biyagama. The Assistant Procurement Manager will support the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying sourcing needs, evaluating suppliers, preparing quotations, and assisting in negotiations to secure quality materials and services at optimal cost. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, maintaining accurate procurement records, and coordinating with production, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and inventory availability. The individual will assist in contract administration, compliance with company policies and standards, and the continuous improvement of procurement procedures and systems. The position also requires preparing regular reports, analyzing purchasing data, and supporting strategic initiatives to optimize the supply base and reduce risk.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Procurement skills, including experience with purchasing processes, sourcing, and supply management.Candidates should possess Supplier Evaluation skills to assess quality, reliability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of vendors.Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation and Contract Management skills to help secure favorable terms and ensure adherence to agreements.Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, compare supplier offers, manage cost analyses, and support decision-making.Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or a related field.Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial procurement, preferably within gloves, PPE, or similar sectors, is an advantage.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP or procurement systems; attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and compliance.
