Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe Are Looking ForAs the Assistant Procurement Manager (Mandarin speaking), Data Center, you will be responsible for analysing procurement data, supplier performance, and infrastructure procurement costs related to data centre development and operations. The role supports procurement strategy by providing data-driven insights for critical equipment sourcing, including power systems, cooling infrastructure, IT hardware, and facility construction components. You will help drive cost optimisation, supplier reliability, procurement efficiency, compliance, and project procurement support to enable data centre uptime, scalability, and expansion delivery.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop procurement cost models for major data centre infrastructure components, including power systems, cooling infrastructure, IT hardware, and facility construction packages.Conduct procurement spend analysis, purchase price variance (PPV) analysis, supplier price benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.Produce and maintain procurement spend dashboards, MIS reports, procurement trackers, savings trackers, supplier performance reports, and other reporting tools to support procurement decision-making.Support RFI, RFQ, and RFP evaluation by consolidating commercial data, comparing supplier proposals, preparing analysis, and supporting award recommendations for data centre project and operations procurement.Perform supplier performance and risk analysis, including tracking supplier reliability, issue trends, pricing competitiveness, and delivery performance.Support procurement planning for data centre projects by tracking open requisitions, open purchase orders, lead times, budget status, and procurement progress on a daily or weekly basis.Support contract and commercial analysis, including reviewing commercial terms, coordinating with Legal, and ensuring PDG agreement norms and procurement governance requirements are followed.Initiate and track supplier registration, maintain supplier-related records, and support procurement data accuracy and digitalization initiatives.Arrange and coordinate meetings with technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders; document follow-ups and track agreed actions.Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Projects, Legal, Finance, Business Development, vendors, OEM suppliers, consultants, auditors, customers, and subcontractors to support project and operational procurement requirements.Support procurement compliance during the project procurement phase and coordinate with vendors to ensure alignment with legal, commercial, and governance requirements.Qualities You Should HaveBachelor’s degree is required (preference for Accounting / Industrial Engineering). Post-graduation with an Engineering background (Mechanical/Electrical) is an advantage.At least 5–7 years of relevant experience within supply chain and/or procurement, with total work experience of at least 7 years preferred.2–3 years of data centre-specific procurement experience is preferred, with at least one prior experience in the procurement function of a data centre company considered an advantage.Prior experience in project and/or operations procurement; experience working in an MNC environment is preferred.Strong analytical capability across procurement spend analysis, cost modelling, PPV, supplier price benchmarking, TCO analysis, and procurement reporting.Excellent communication, problem-solving, planning, organising, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Cross-culturally aware and adaptable, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and work effectively across internal teams and external vendors.Familiar with local infrastructure vendors and working knowledge of project procurement and construction within the data centre domain.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.Ability to speak Mandarin is required.
