Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor - Public Health

Main Responsibilities of the Job:The Asian University for Women (AUW) invites applications from outstanding faculty to join AUW for a faculty position in Public Health in the Spring 2025 Trimester. The mission is to develop and deliver academically rigorous academic programs in Public Health.The successful candidate will deliver high-quality courses in Public Health, demonstrate teaching excellence, engage in research activities, and enrich the academic experience. Additionally, the position requires active participation in the academic programs and University through service and collaborative initiatives.Develop programs and the course curriculumDeliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and quizzes, and prepare assignments on the assigned courses.Teach 28 credits per academic year.Serve as an academic advisor and mentor to students.Supervise students in developing and implementing senior thesis projects including guiding them in data analysis, thesis writing, and presentation of findingsAttract research funding and engage in researchProvide leadership and service on academic committees and academic initiativesMaintain office hours for studentsOther Requirements:PhD degree in Public Health and allied areas from a recognized universityPublications in prestigious journals and subject-matter journals /conferencesOutstanding record of research accomplishments and a strong dedication to service, mentoring, graduate teaching, attracting external funding, and making an impact in multidisciplinary researchA strong understanding of inclusivity and diversity in the classroom and beyondCandidates applying for the Assistant Professor position should demonstrate a strong aptitude for conducting high-impact research.Desirable:Understanding of the liberal arts model of education.Experience or interest in working in Asia.Experience or interest in teaching at women-only institutions.Ability and willingness to teach students whose native language is not EnglishExpected to teach:Select courses from Introduction to Public Health, Introduction to Epidemiology, Principles of Biostatistics, Research Methods in Public Health, Applied Biostatistics, Introduction to Environmental Health, Health Policy and Ethics, Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health, Introduction to Global Health, Health Communication and Health Promotion, Infectious and Tropical Diseases, Epidemiology, Social and Behavioral Sciences in Public Health, and more, depending upon the area of expertise.Application Deadline :15 September 2026
