Located in Dammam, IAU offers a dynamic environment for teaching, research, and professional growth.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor role based at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Dammam. The Assistant Professor will deliver high-quality undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching, including preparing course materials, delivering lectures, leading seminars, supervising laboratories or practica where applicable, and assessing student performance. The role includes supervising student projects and theses, providing academic advising and mentorship, and maintaining regular office hours to support learners. The Assistant Professor will conduct original research in their field, seek internal and external funding, publish in peer-reviewed outlets, and present at academic conferences. Responsibilities also include participating in departmental and university committees, contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance, engaging in community and professional service, and supporting the university’s strategic goals.Qualifications Completed PhD or terminal degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution, with an active research agenda.Proven teaching ability in higher education, including designing syllabi, developing assessments, and using diverse teaching and learning methods.Demonstrated research skills, including conducting independent research, publishing in reputable journals, and presenting at academic conferences.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and respectfully in a multicultural, multilingual academic environment.Ability to use educational technologies and learning management systems to support in-person teaching and enhance student learning.Commitment to academic integrity, student-centered learning, and continuous improvement in teaching and research.Willingness to contribute to departmental and university service, including committees, curriculum development, and community engagement initiatives.Prior postdoctoral experience, professional practice experience (where relevant), and publications aligned with the department’s focus are considered strong assets.
