Current programs include B.Pharm., B.Pharm. (Lateral Entry), and D.Pharm.Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based at MIMPS in Mallasamudram. The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate pharmacy courses, deliver lectures, conduct practical sessions in laboratories, and guide students in academic projects and seminars. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, assessing student performance through examinations and continuous evaluation, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role also involves participating in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development, engaging in research and scholarly activities, mentoring students, and supporting institutional initiatives such as community outreach and professional development programs. The Assistant Professor is expected to uphold high standards of academic integrity, professional ethics, and student-centered learning.Qualifications Postgraduate degree in Pharmacy (e.g., M.Pharm) from a recognized institution; Ph.D. in a relevant pharmaceutical discipline is an added advantage.Eligibility as per norms of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), with prior teaching or academic experience preferred.Strong knowledge of core pharmacy subjects, with the ability to integrate theory and practical applications in classroom and laboratory settings.Demonstrated ability to conduct research, publish in academic or professional journals, and guide student projects.Effective classroom management, student mentoring, and academic advising skills, with a learner-centric approach.Proficient communication skills in English; ability to prepare clear teaching materials, assessments, and academic documentation.Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and participation in academic committees, workshops, and institutional activities.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, engage in interdisciplinary initiatives, and contribute to community outreach and industry interaction.
