Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor at Bamyan University, located in Bamyan Province, Afghanistan. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering lectures, preparing course materials, mentoring students, conducting research, and participating in academic committee activities. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues to enhance academic programs and contributing to faculty development. Qualifications Strong teaching skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver engaging lectures and learning materials.Research and analytical skills to contribute to academic knowledge and publications in relevant fields.Mentoring and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and support students in their academic and professional growth.Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and spoken formats.Organizational and time-management abilities to manage course loads, research projects, and committee activities.Ph.D. or relevant advanced degree in a specific field of study related to the position.Experience in higher education or related academic teaching positions is preferred.Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting.Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto is advantageous, along with proficiency in English.
