MIES RM Law College extends this mission into legal studies, offering a structured academic environment that encourages intellectual growth and professional development.Role Description The Assistant Professor at MIES RM Law College will teach undergraduate law courses, deliver lectures, lead tutorials, and facilitate classroom discussions in accordance with the curriculum prescribed by Vidyasagar University. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, evaluating student assignments and examinations, and providing constructive feedback to support student learning. The role also involves academic mentoring, maintaining student records, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to curriculum development and quality enhancement activities. The Assistant Professor is expected to engage in scholarly pursuits such as research, publications, seminars, and conferences that strengthen the academic profile of the college. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajpur Sonarpur.Qualifications Strong foundation in law and legal studies, with the ability to teach core and specialized subjects effectively.Excellent teaching, communication, and classroom management skills, with a learner-centered approach.Ability to design course materials, assess student performance fairly, and provide academic guidance.Interest in academic research, publication, and participation in seminars, conferences, and workshops.Postgraduate degree in Law (LL.M) from a recognized university; NET/SET/PhD in Law preferred as per regulatory norms.Familiarity with university-affiliated college systems and willingness to contribute to institutional development.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices and ethical professional conduct.Ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage in co-curricular and extension activities of the college.
