The college offers programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce, including BBA, B.Com, B.Sc Criminology and Forensic Science, B.Sc Computer Science, and B.Sc Artificial Intelligence, supporting students in becoming career-ready and life-ready graduates.Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vellalankulam, Tenkasi focused on delivering high-quality teaching and academic support to undergraduate students. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, designing and updating course materials, conducting assessments, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role involves engaging in curriculum development, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to academic planning and quality enhancement initiatives. The Assistant Professor is also expected to support student activities, encourage research and project work, and participate in institutional events and outreach as needed.QualificationsRelevant postgraduate degree (minimum Master’s) in a discipline aligned with Arts, Science, or Commerce programs offered; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral work is an added advantage.Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate level, including lesson planning, classroom management, and student evaluation.Strong communication skills in English and Tamil; ability to explain concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.Familiarity with modern teaching methods, educational technology, and basic computer skills for course delivery and evaluation.Commitment to student-centric education, ethical conduct, and an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment.Interest in research, academic writing, and participation in seminars, workshops, and conferences.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental initiatives, and support co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
