Key AccountabilityAcademicResponsible to conduct lectures as per the assigned workloadAssist the Associate Professor, Professor, HOS in developing the Computer Science curriculumActive participation in academic and examination dutyConduct practical, tutorials as per the assigned scheduleResponsible for setting up question papersParticipate in organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, FDPs, hackathons, coding competitions, etc.Understand the skills relevant in the IT/software job market and provide insights to professors and HOSOrganize various training programs for students to develop technical and soft skillsOrganize study tours/industry visits for students to give required exposureResearch DevelopmentExpected to show a high level of proficiency in research in Computer Science and allied areas (AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, IoT, etc.)Responsible to write research papersResponsible for publishing papers nationally/internationally in peer-reviewed journals and conferencesBe a co-investigator for writing research proposalsEncourage students to write research papers and participate in project competitionsStrategicSupport in the execution of the strategic plan of the schoolOperationalParticipate in student-related activities such as NCC, student welfare, ASG, cultural and technical events, and counseling/mentoring studentsActively participate during admissions of students and counselResponsible to work closely with students on various academic and mini/major projectsSupervise during examinationsActively be a part of organizing convocationAccompany students for rural immersion programs, study tours, yoga, internships, international toursResponsible to check answer sheets of students and share assessment with seniors for further student improvementAddress student issuesMaintain proper record of studentsFinance and BudgetFollow the directives of professors, HOS, and Dean to utilize the budget within the academic unitCollaborationsActively be a part of National Teachers Congress, Bharatiya Chatra Sansad, National Women's Parliament and other program events/program committeesFocus on engagement with IT/software companies for industry collaboration, placement of students, and AlumniCollaborate with CIAP and Marketing to have smooth student admissions and placements4. Person SpecificationDesired Qualification and ExperiencePreferably a Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Applications/allied disciplinesMaster's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science or a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign universityBachelor's degree in BCA / B.Sc. Computer Science preferred as the qualifying undergraduate disciplinePreferably should be NET/SET/SLET qualified as conducted by UGCA person without a Ph.D. but having a Master's Degree (MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science) in a relevant branch/discipline can be considered based on their industry experience. Minimum relevant experience required: 0 to 5 yearsSubstantial leadership and management experienceA strong commitment to MIT-WPU and its vision, ambitions, and valuesPersonal attributes and styleShould possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)Sound knowledge of programming languages, software development practices, and emerging technologies in Computer Science
