The institution aims to strengthen its academic programs and expand its impact within the local and broader educational community.Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based at VISTHAPIT COLLEGE in Bokaro. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate courses in their subject area, prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, and evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects. Daily responsibilities include providing academic guidance to students, maintaining accurate records of student progress, and participating in curriculum development and departmental meetings. The Assistant Professor will also be expected to engage in scholarly activities such as research or academic writing, contribute to co-curricular initiatives, and support institutional events and outreach. Collaboration with colleagues to uphold academic standards and continuous improvement of teaching practices is an integral part of this role.Qualifications Relevant postgraduate or doctoral degree in the applicable discipline from a recognized university, in line with regulatory and accreditation requirements.Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate level, with skills in lesson planning, student assessment, and classroom management.Strong academic writing and research skills, with an interest in publishing, conference participation, or collaborative scholarly work.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to mentor students and work constructively with colleagues and administration.Familiarity with modern teaching methods and basic educational technology, such as presentation tools, learning management systems, or online resources.Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive education, and adherence to institutional policies and regulatory guidelines.Prior teaching or academic experience is preferred; relevant industry or professional experience in the subject area will be an added advantage.
